Guided Tour Programme 2008

All our tours (unless otherwise stated) include two nights dinner, bed and breakfast. Generally we meet for dinner on the Friday evening, tour on the Saturday and depart on Sunday morning. Convenient stops for refreshment will be made throughout the day when touring. Our Irish and French tours have been updated for 2008. Other updates to follow shortly.


Improve your riding skills tour/training weekend North Wales (Bed and Breakfast)

When: Saturday, 5th April to Sunday, 6th April, 2008.
Where: Overnight b and b stop in Caernarvon.
Cost: £90 per rider.
Details:

Leaving South Wales on the Saturday morning we travel through some fine scenery whilst making our way north. En route we provide some 'advanced riding' techniques to participants to give those who have not ridden at an advanced level previously some experience and understanding of what this level of riding is all about. For those who are already riding at an advanced level then this trip will provide an opportunity for polishing up those skills already acquired. After an overnight stop at our 'biker friendly' b and b we then return south the following day via an alternative route, still enjoying the delightful scenery as we go.

Welsh Lakes and Mountains Tour(Bed and Breakfast)

Welsh Lakes and Mountains
When: Friday, 9th May to Sunday, 11th May, 2008.
Where: Based at Crickhowell between Abergavenny and Brecon in one of Britains finest national parks.Bed and breakfast.
Cost: £216 rider and pillion.
£118 per rider.
Details:
This tour is costed on a bed and breakfast basis . We meet up at our tour base on Friday evening. For those who wish to meet up at the Severn Bridge at Friday lunchtime a gentle run in to our tour location can be provided by the tour guide to give you a taste of what is to be experienced on the following day. On Saturday we then head off enjoying the beautiful Welsh mountains and lakes as we go. Combined with some of the best motorcycling roads in the country you can be assured of a thoroughly enjoyable weekend staying at a hotel which is reknown for its cuisine. An optional short tour in to the Welsh borders, before departing and saying our farewells on Sunday is included as part of the itinerary for the weekend.

Lake District Tour(Bed and Breakfast)

When: Friday, 30th May to Sunday, 1st June, 2008.
Where: B and B based accomodation near the town of Kendal.
Cost: £190 rider and pillion.
£105 per rider. Limited single room accomodation- supplement £20
Details:

This tour is based at a comfortable b and b near the town of Kendal. We shall travel north on the Friday, using as little of the motorway as we can. Saturday will be spent exploring the beautiful Lake District and riding some of the famous passes. A full menu of beautiful scenery will be provided throughout the day. After a hard days riding we return to our b and b to relax on Saturday evening. There are good quality pubs/restaurants close to our accomodation. Sunday finds us heading south again using suitable routes and avoiding as much of the motorway as we can. Depending on the desires of the tour party and the weather we may even pay a short visit to the North Yorkshire Moors on our way back home.The tour price includes three days accompanied touring on a bed and breakfast basis only. Only limited accomodation is available for this tour so I suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.

Irish Tour

When: Friday, 22nd August to Monday, 25th August, 2008.(4 day tour).
Where: Based at country house hotel to the west of Cork
Cost:

(inclusive of mainland ferry crossing)
£480 rider and pillion.
£275 per rider.
Single room supplement: £30

Details:

Making best use of the Bank Holiday weekend we head off on Friday morning for the 1130hrs 'fast cat' sailing to Rosslare. Upon arrival in Eire we head to our three night stop over location at a country house hotel to the west of Cork. Saturday sees us exploring the beautiful 'Ring of Kerry' before returning to our hotel to enjoy some good 'Irish craic' and probably a glass or two of the real 'black stuff'. Sunday we will explore the Beara peninsular and find some remote mountain passes over which to travel. Again, you can be assured of some splendid scenery whilst in Eire, even if the roads are a little rougher than ours. Monday will find us heading east to catch the 1500hrs 'fast cat' back to the mainland. We shall return via Waterford before departing from Rosslare Harbour. All sailings are subject to availability and early booking is advised to ensure that places can be reserved. Tour cost includes ferry crossing from Fishguard to Rosslare and three nights dinner, bed and breakfast. Local inland ferry costs are not included in the tour price and if used will only amount to several Euros.

French Tour

When: Friday,26th September to Sunday, 28th September, 2008.
Where: Based in a chateaux near Cherbourg.
Cost: (inclusive of ferry crossing)
£320 rider and pillion.
£210 per rider.
Details:

Our 'French Foray' is an ideal opportunity for those who have not ventured to Europe motorcycling before. Our weekend is based a short distance to the south of Cherbourg in a chateaux which exudes its own individual and rustic charm. We shall leave Poole on the conventional ferry mid morning on Friday. Our English hosts are well used to hosting motorcycle touring parties and a warm welcome is assured when we arrive on Friday evening. On Saturday we shall travel south along the Cherbourg Peninsular arriving finally at Mont San Michel where the splendour of the Mont itself can be enjoyed. On Sunday we shall travel to Bayeaux where the famous tapestry can be viewed. We will then move on to Aramanche, one of the locations of the famous 'D' Day landings. A visit to the American war graves will also form part of the itinerary for the weekend. A Sunday evening return sailing from Caen will get us to Portsmouth for a late evening ride home. Tour costs include cost of ferry crossings.

A minimum of 10 persons are required for an evening meal to be provided on this tour. If minimum numbers are not met then a small reduction in price will be made and the tour party will make their own alternative arrangements.
